A musical called “The Last Timbit” has debuted on streaming video service Crave. The show is a co-production of Tim Hortons, Bell Media Studios and theatrical producer Michael Rubinoff. It was created to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Tim Hortons. The show, based on real events, depicts a group of people waiting out a storm in a Tim Hortons. The musical was filmed during a limited theatrical run at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto. Limited edition merchandise from the show has been developed in collaboration with Roots and is being sold online.
“It was such a thrill to see ‘The Last Timbit’ come to life in front of delighted audiences in Toronto and it was always our wish that we could share this special production with Canadians from coast to coast to coast,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons. “We were so fortunate to get to work with some of the very best in Canadian theatre to celebrate the unique and powerful connections we've had with our guests since 1964.”
