Nestle begins Living Traditions promotions
By Rob Bale
Nestle has begun a Canadian promotion for its Nido and Cerelac product lines. Called “The Living Traditions Library,” the initative is aimed primarily at newcomers to Canada to want to “preserve their traditions.” The effort makes use of a website at <http://www.thelivingtraditionslibrary.ca> at which consumers can submit descriptions of their family traditions. According to the company, the submissions will be preserved for at least 25 years so future generations can access them. Consumers who make a submission between June 5 and July 3 will be entered into a draw for a grand prize of $2,000, three secondary prizes of $1,000 and various Nindo and Cerelac products. Nido is a nutritional supplement for infants, while Cerelac is a line of instant cereals. Both are most popular in Asia. The campaign was developed by Citizen Relations and Thrive Media.
