Northern Super League debuts branding

Northern Super League, a Canadian professional women’s soccer league set to debut in the spring of 2025, has unveiled its branding. Developed by Broken Heart Love Affair of Toronto, the brand work includes the league’s name and logo, as well as related materials in English and French. According to the agency, the materials are intended to represent “pride, bold confidence and inclusivity.” The creative uses a visual style intended to recall the Canada Modern designs popular in the 1960s and 70s.

“The name captures the elite calibre of players that will fill the rosters while putting our stake in the ground as Canada’s home for the most beautiful game,” said Diana Matheson, CEO of league organizer Project 8. “We are proud today to launch a name that will instill pride in all those who play and love the game, and a brand that welcomes all who want to be a part of this exciting moment in Canadian sports history, as we take a big step toward our season opener in April 2025.”
