American Express begins online campaign

American Express Canada has begun a new digital campaign promoting its Platinum credit card. The campaign features the work of visual effect creator Edwin Chung. The creative makes use of stop motion animation to highlight the benefits of the card. The initiative is taking place on social media service TikTok.
“We’re continuing to see an industry-wide shift in how brands communicate with their audiences and how consumers engage with content,” said Lauren Dineen-Duarte, vice-president of communications at American Express Canada. “Working in close collaboration with Edwin while simultaneously granting him creative autonomy allowed us to create owned content with added creative impact and enhanced storytelling.”
