Air Canada begins musical travel guide campaign

Air Canada has begun a marketing campaign consisting of three musical travel guides. The promotion, developed by Cossette, features three Canadian musicians: Charlotte Cardin, Alexandra Stréliski and Sarahmée. Each acts as a musical guide to the cities of Paris, Amsterdam or Barcelona by way of a playlist of audio recordings. The playlists are available through Spotify and the airline’s EnRoute system. The campaign also includes Quebec out-of-home, online, social media and newspaper advertising. It will run until June 2.
“Music is an incredibly powerful means of exploration,” said Martine Boulerice, director of brand marketing for Quebec at Air Canada. “It keeps us company en route to our destination, but it also has the ability to spark memories and take us back to specific moments in our travels in the same way as tastes and feelings do. That’s what led us to the idea of collaborating with local artists to guide and inspire travelers who’ll be exploring Europe this summer, whether for the first time or the twenty-first. On top of sharing their favourite spots and memories, these popular Quebec musicians transport us there through uplifting musical selections.”
