Walmart begins anniversary campaign

Retail chain Walmart Canada has begun a new campaign called to coincide with its 30th anniversary in this country. Developed by Cossette of Toronto, the campaign consists of television advertising and social media content intended to create a sense of nostalgia about the chain. Media work is being handled by Starcom.
“Walmart’s affordability has opened the door to countless cultural experiences for Canadians,” said Alyssa Graff, creative director at Cossette. “We saw a great opportunity to revisit some of the most iconic ones to show just how deeply Walmart is woven into our cultural fabric and strengthen our bond with Canadians.”
