Interac sponsors FACE

Payment processing company Interac has begun an initiative in collaboration with the Federation of African Canadian Economics to create an interactive mapping tool that will help consumers locate approximately 8,000 Black-owned businesses. The intent is to increase awareness of these businesses nationally. The map will be part of a new three-year sponsorship of the non-profit organization by Interac.

“This alliance signifies a commitment to dismantling barriers and fostering an environment where Black entrepreneurs can thrive,” said Tiffany Callender, chief executive officer of FACE. “With the support of Interac, including investment in our historic tool mapping Black-owned businesses and knowledge centre, we are addressing the challenges Black Canadians face and creating a roadmap to accelerate wealth creation. Together, we aspire to empower and uplift the vibrant community of Black entrepreneurs, promoting inclusivity and driving positive change across Canada.”
