PepsiCo Foods Canada has begun a promotion for its Cheetos snack food brand to coincide with the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend. The promotion consists of the installation of a 16-foot statue on Roundhouse Park in Toronto. The “Top Cheetle” statue depicts a hockey glove holding a Cheeto. It will remain in the park until Jan. 30, then move to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre until Feb. 4. The original statue is located in Cheadle, AB. The promotion is being conducted in association with Bauer Hockey.
“This is a huge moment for the city and we wanted to create an unforgettable experience for fans to celebrate the return of NHL All-Star Weekend,” said Jess Spaulding, chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Foods Canada. “With our hockey-fied statue, we want to continue to give hockey fans and Cheetos fanatics a memorable way to mark this moment and show the world how we All-Star.”
