Calgary-based WestJet has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Canadian Premier League. WestJet will be the official airline and vacation sponsor of the soccer league for the next four years. It will be the presenting partner of the CPL regular season schedule and the title sponsor of its pre-season training camps. WestJet will also remain the kit sponsor of the Cavalry FC. Members of the team will display the company’s logo on their jerseys. WestJet first became a sponsor of the CPL in 2019.
“WestJet is proud to extend our partnership with the Canadian Premier League as the official airline sponsor for another four years as we approach the kickoff of the highly anticipated 2024 season,” said John Weatherill, chief commercial officer at WestJet. “As a national carrier for Canada, connecting guests to the people and places they love most, we are thrilled to continue our support for the Canadian Premier League, a force that brings Canadians together and attracts global citizens to our country.”
