Rona readies Home Sweet Home campaign

Home improvement chain Rona is preparing a national fundraising initiative called “Home Sweet Home” through its Rona Foundation. The effort is intended to help people in need “revitalize their living environments or make their access to housing easier.” From Sept. 1 to 30, staff from participating distribution centres and Rona, Lowe's and Réno-Dépôt stores will raise funds for approximately 180 Canadian charities that help victims of domestic violence, low-income families and people with special needs or mental health issues.
“Having a safe, comfortable place to live should be possible for all Canadians,” said Josée Lafitte, director of the Rona Foundation. “At the Rona Foundation, we listen to the needs of our communities and want to help victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families, and people with special needs or mental health issues.”
