Toyota Canada has signed promotion agreements with six Canadian athletes who will participate in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. They will participate in various activities as part of Toyota’s ongoing “Start Your Impossible” initiative, which focuses on the personal stories of its athletes. The six participants are: wheelchair basketball player Cindy Ouellet; decathlete Damian Warner; para cyclist Keely Shaw; breakdancer Philip Kim; boxer Tammara Thibeault; and para athlete Marissa Papaconstantinou.
“We're thrilled to welcome these six incredible athletes to Team Toyota, who have been breaking barriers and uplifting their communities,” said Cyril Dimitris, vice-president of sales and marketing at Toyota Canada. “Our Team Toyota athletes are remarkable examples of what's possible through the power of human movement. By sharing their personal stories about what has helped shape them, beyond sport, we hope to encourage and inspire more Canadians to start their own ‘impossible.’”
