Red Truck Beer begins Boombox promotion

The Red Truck Beer Co. of Vancouver has retained Will to conduct a promotion called the “Red Truck Boombox.” The effort features a limited edition eight-pack beer case contained in a package that operates as a passive amplifier for a telephone speaker. The box, developed by MET Printers, promotes the company’s summer Truck Stop Concert Series. The Boombox incorporates a phone slot that leads to a central compartment made of stacked cardboard with a bugle-shaped cutout that directs and amplifies the sound from the phone’s speaker. It also displays a QR code that links to a playlist of bands from the concert series. Consumers can win a Boombox case and two tickets to the concert series through a contest component that will run until Aug. 7. The promotion also includes social media advertising and online videos.
“Music has always been an important part of Red Truck’s DNA,” said Red Truck owner Mark James. “People love beer and people love music, so we’re always looking for new ways to bring those two passions together. When we heard the ‘Red Truck Boombox’ concept, we knew it was a perfect way to celebrate beer and music and get people talking about the concert series.”
