Magazines Canada signs deal with Messenger Bag Media
By Rob Bale
Magazines Canada has signed a letter of intent with Messenger Bag Media to manage the day-to-day operations of the association. As part of this agreement, Chris Radley has been appointed executive director of the organization. Messenger Bag Media will be responsible government relations, the newsstand distribution program, professional development resources creation, membership management, communications and marketing management, administration support and accounting management.
“We have been involved with Magazines Canada in several ways over the past decade and getting to take on this new opportunity means so much to us,” said Michael Brown, owner of Messenger Bag Media. “We believe the work we’ve done with Magazines Canada over the past few years, particularly in the last 12 months, puts us in an excellent position to help guide the organization through the ongoing changes the magazine industry continues to experience.”
