The Best of the Best Judges Choice Award went to the The Professional Women's Hockey Players Association for its “Stick In The Ground” campaign.

Advantis Communications was named Boutique Agency of the Year, while Labour was named Small Agency of the Year, Strategic Objectives was named Mid-size Agency of the Year and Edelman was named Large Agency of the Year.

The Regional Municipality of York won the award for Corporate Communication Department of the Year, while the National Payroll Institute was named Not-for-Profit Communication Department of the Year.

Sue Horner was named Volunteer of the Year while Haysi Vale received the Bobbie Resnick Student of the Year Award.

“In addition to celebrating important achievements together, the Ovation Awards fosters a creative atmosphere enabling industry professionals to engage in meaningful ways,” said Stephanie Thornbury, vice-president of the awards. “It's a distinct honour to observe the industry's top talent and bring to light the collective impact of their effort.”
