RCMP resumes Name the Puppy contest
By Adnews Staff
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has begun a contest for children called “Name the Puppy.” The annual contest invites children to suggest names for 13 future police dogs at the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, AB. As all dogs born in a specific year are given names beginning with the same letter, the RCMP is seeking names this year that begin with the letter “S.”
The contest can be entered online at <https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/puppy> until March 16. The winners will be announced on April 6. One winner will be selected from each province and territory. The winners will receive a laminated photograph of the dog that will receive the name, a plush dog named Justice and an RCMP water bottle.
