Snapchat conducts Super Bowl promotion
By Adnews Staff
Social media service Snapchat has begun a promotion in the US and Canada tied to the NFL Super Bowl game this weekend. The initiative consists of a range of NFL-branded augmented reality filters. One such filter will allow the user of a mobile device to view a 3D depiction of game venue State Farm Stadium on any flat surface. The filter will include a live game clock, scores and statistics. Another filter will allow users to virtually try on Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles jerseys. The filter includes a link to the NFL’s online store, where physical jerseys can be purchased. Users can also choose any NFL team and jersey number to view a customized bobblehead in augmented reality. In addition, Snapchat users will be able to purchase an exclusive limited edition Super Bowl bomber jacket from Bitmoji. The promotion also includes additional branded social media content and contests. Snapchat is operated by Snap Communications.
