Doritos readies Super Bowl commercial

PepsiCo Foods Canada will air a new commercial for its Doritos snack food brand during the broadcast of the NFL Super Bowl game this weekend. The ad, called “Jack's New Angle,” features musicians Elton John, Jack Harlow and Missy Elliott using a triangle in their music after being “inspired” by the shape of a Dorito. The ad promotes a new flavour of the product called Sweet & Tangy BBQ. The ad was preceeded by three teaser videos over a period of several weeks.
“Doritos has a long history of surprising fans with the unexpected through bold Super Bowl commercials,” said Jess Spaulding, chief marketing officer at PepsiCo Foods Canada. “Since music is a way of life for Doritos fans, the brand teamed up with musical icons to inspire fans to ‘Try Another Angle’ and break out of the norm. We're thrilled to bring this campaign to Canada for the Super Bowl.”
