KFC begins gravy campaign

Fast food chain KFC Canada has begun a holiday season marketing campaign called “Satisfy Your Cravings.” The effort promotes the chain’s new Gravy Lovers menu items and highlights to appeal of gravy. The campaign consists of out-of-home, television, cinema and online video advertising. It also includes media partnerships with CBC, Spotify and The Score, as well as social media content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube channels, in-store materials and exposure on the brand’s mobile application. The campaign also includes a contest element, the winner of which will receive a meeting with rapper Yung Gravy at a concert in Vancouver, as well as a “KFC VIP Gravy Card” that will provide the winner with a year's supply of free gravy.

“This holiday season KFC is giving our iconic gravy the spotlight it deserves,” said Katherine Debicki, chief marketing officer at KFC Canada. “Our festive campaign, featuring the savoury sounds of Yung Gravy, leans into KFC's iconic swagger and the indulgence gravy brings to holiday meals. We’re calling all Canadians to pick up some Kentucky Fried Chicken with an extra side of gravy, and let it flow, let it flow, let it flow.”
