Royal Canadian Mint promotes Alexander Graham Bell coin

The Royal Canadian Mint has begun a campaign promoting the release of a coin commemorating the 175th birthday of Alexander Graham Bell. Developed by Media Experts of Toronto, the campaign is intended to attract a younger audience by focusing on the history and innovations represented by the coin. The effort includes an online museum created by the agency in collaboration with Eat it up Media. The museum invites consumers to learn about Bell’s life and his inventions in sound and transportation. It is located at <https://www.rcmintverse.ca>. A media campaign will focus on consumers interested in history, science and technology. It will include social media content on Twitter and Pinterest, as well as ads on CBC Radio.
“Invention is exciting,” said Elisabeth Lussier-Arpin, media account manager at Media Experts, “It gave us such a rich starting point to build a campaign that steps outside the traditional collector-focused campaign from the Royal Canadian Mint. We wanted to tap into an audience interested in learning about history, science, and technology, and what better way to do this than with a virtual museum?”
