Dog Child releases dog cookbook
By Adnews Staff

Toronto-based pet food company Dog Child has released a cookbook to coincide with the launch of a new product called the Essential Nutrient Mix, as well as National Cook For Your Pets Day. The initiative is intented to encourage consumers to “cook for their dogs like they cook for themselves.” According to the company, the recipes in the cookbook prioritize nutrition, convenience, and sustainability. The recipes also make use of home food waste at home that can be used as ingredients for meals for dogs. The cookbook can be downloaded from the brand’s website at <http://www.dogchild.co>. New recipes will be added monthly.
“When I started cooking for my dog Charlotte, I was left feeling confused about how to properly cook for her,” said Nicole Marchand, CEO of Dog Child. “Many of the recipes online lacked essential nutrients and the recipes that were nutritionally complete were timing consuming with difficult-to-find ingredients. I'm so thrilled to share the Essential Nutrient Mix and cookbook with everyone. I hope to inspire new pet parents to start cooking for their loved ones. Dog Child will continue to develop new recipes and products that all support cooking fresh healthy meals for the modern dog.”
