Barrett and Welsh releases inclusion resources

Toronto-based Barrett and Welsh has begun an initiative called “Creativity with a Conscience,” which takes the form of a free collection of anti-racism, pro-inclusion creative resources. The resources are aimed at copywriters, art directors, designers, clients and account handlers. According to the firm, the initiative is based on the belief that creativity and innovation can “drive social change when practised with intentionality and care.” These resources are available online at <http://www.rebrand.ly/creativity-with-a-conscience>.

“Every one of us in Canada’s creative industries and all of our clients must play our role in reversing systemic injustice,” agency CEO and CCO Gavin Barrett. “As creatives, we can have an incredible impact if we act with conscience. I invite the entire industry to adopt and contribute to the toolkit. Inclusion is a necessarily continuous process. There will always be ways to keep improving. I don’t think the work we have ahead of us will ever be complete.”
