Ford released Mushroom video

Automaker Ford has begun a new campaign consisting of a short film called “Mushroom.” The video, developed by BBDO Canada, does not depict any Ford vehicles, but was made using the power from the company’s electric vehicles. The vehicles provided power for lighting effects, windstorms, cameras and other electrical equipment. The 7:25-minute video is running on streaming service Crave and on YouTube. The campaign also includes a “making-of” video and a trailer. The creative depicts two rival foragers who enter a showdown over a one-of-a-kind Matsutake mushroom. Media work is being handled by Mindshare.
“To help showcase how Ford is a leader in electric vehicles and stand out from the competition, we felt it was necessary to do something that had never been done before and electrify unexpectedly,” said Max Geraldo, chief creative officer at BBDO Canada.
