CF Richmond Centre opens Revival Room
By Adnews Staff
Real estate developer Cadillac Fairview has begun a promotion called the “Revival Room” at its CF Richmond Centre shopping mall in Richmond, BC. The initiative takes the form of a 1,565 square-foot room in the mall filled with displays of 1990s-style fashion products. The promotion is timed to coincide with the back-to-school season. The displays were assembled in collaboration with stylist Peter Papapetrou and consist of products available at the mall’s retailers. The room also features a recreation of a high school hallway with a public announcement system and school bells, a bedroom area with three interactive screens for online shopping, and a recreation room area with a VCR, sports memorabilia and games. Consumers who visit the room can also participate in trivia contests to win CF Shop gift cards. The promotion will run until Sept. 4.
“The shopping mall was the place to hang out for '90s kids, so what better place to celebrate the return of 90s punk-grunge, bomber jackets, high-waisted jeans and iconic platform shoes than at our shopping centre, especially during a time when families are getting ready to go back to school,” said Julia Dow, general manager of CF Richmond Centre. “Our custom-designed Revival Room experience is an exciting way to discover what '90s trends are enjoying a comeback and find inspiration for season school or work looks, while taking a walk down memory lane through our uniquely curated rooms.”
