CCM Hockey has released a limited edition gold hockey stick in collaboration with Sarah Nurse of the Canadian women's national hockey team. According to the company, the stick is intended to represent her contributions to winning an Olympic gold medal in 2022 and a 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship. The stick is also intended to recognize Nurse’s efforts to expand the game of hockey in Canada. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the sticks will be donated to the charity Hockey 4 Youth. The stick is a JetSpeed FT5 Pro with a custom design that incorporates Nurse’s name and number, as well as a Canadian flag and a list of her player statistics. The sticks will be sold exclusively in Ontario stores and on CCM's website.
“We are proud of all our athletes and were blown away by the record-breaking performance Sarah Nurse had representing Canada,” said Robert Zaring, marketing vice-president at CCM Hockey. “To show our support for her we worked together to create a limited edition stick that would represent her golden performance, but also support a cause that is important to both Sarah and CCM.”
