ShopThing debuts subscription service

Toronto-based ShopThing, a company specializing in online shopping using short videos, has launched a new subscription service called VIP Membership. According to the company, the service will allow consumers to view live shopping events hosted by influencers in the US and Canada. These ifluencers will enter stores and create a video in under 30 seconds, which will be streamed live to viewers who can immediately buy the product.
“Traditionally, the industry has seen personal shopping as one-to-one versus one-to-many like the live shopping model, but we’re disrupting that,” said Maggie Adhami-Boynton, CEO of ShopThing.
