Citytv of Toronto has launched two new streaming video properties: Citytv+ and CityNews 24/7. The properties are available to Amazon Prime subscribers. Citytv+ carries programming from Citytv, FX and FXX, as well as live news and entertainment programming from Omni Television. CityNews 24/7 carries news, entertainment, and sports content, as well as headlines, weather and traffic reports, and content from its Breakfast Television program and CityNews local newscasts. Citytv is a division of Rogers Sports & Media, which is a subsidiary of Rogers Communications.
“Citytv+ offers advertisers new and incremental reach to engage streaming audiences in both on-demand and live TV content,” said Janice Smith, vice-president of national media sales at Rogers Sports & Media. “With dynamic ad insertion technology and first-party data, we continue to build on our position as leaders in connected TV and streaming in Canada and work even more closely with marketers on total TV opportunities across all platforms.”
