Milk-Bone begins Chewpons campaign

Smucker Foods of Canada has begun a new campaign for its Milk-Bone brand of dog snacks called “Chewpons.” Developed by Leo Burnett Toronto with media work by Spark Foundry Canada, the social media campaign invites consumers to submit photographs of household items that have been chewed by their dogs to receive a coupon for Milk-Bone products. Selected images will be posted to the brand’s Instagram and Facebook pages. The campaign, which will run until May 11, also includes an online video.
“We wanted to create a program that showed Milk-Bone doesn’t just understand the many facets of life with your dog, but rewards the unconditional love pet parents have through it all,” said Adam Zitney, vice-president of marketing at Smucker Foods Canada. “Chewpons are a great way to take the sting out of finding another chewed thing and turn it into something that your dog will love.”
