GE Appliances breaks soccer campaign

GE Appliances Canada has begun a new campaign called “Made For This” tied to the brand’s support for soccer in Canada. The effort consists of a commercial running on TSN, TVA, Sportsnet and One Soccer, as well as online video pre-roll ads, social media content and digital banners. According to the company, the creative “parallels how players who represent Canada are made to handle the harshest conditions, just as GE Appliances are made to the same high standards expected by Canadian families.”
GE Appliances has also begun a national contest called “Clean Sheet” to coincide with National Laundry Month in April. During the upcoming MLS season, every time a Canadian MLS teams gets a “clean sheet” during a home game, consumers will have a chance to win a set of GE UltraFresh washers and driers. The company will also donate $1,000 for each clean sheet from a Canadian MLS home game to a non-profit organization that focuses on soccer programs for children and youth.
