BMW readies Super Bowl ad

Automaker BMW will run its first Super Bowl commercial since 2015 during the broadcast of the game this weekend. The 60-second ad will air on CTV in Canada. It promotes a new electric car, the iX Sports Activity Vehicle. The creative features actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salma Hayek Pinault as the ancient Greek gods Zeus and Hera living in retirement in Palm Springs.
"The BMW iX is arguably the biggest model launch we’ve had in the last decade," said Andrew Scott, director of brand management at BMW. "What better place than the Super Bowl to tell Canadians that our all-electric future is here? National fanbase, tremendous reach, and on a Canadian network, something we are proud to be investing in."
