Michael Hill begins holiday campaign

Michael Hill Jeweller has begun a campaign called “Make their Holidays” in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. According to the company, the campaign represents a shift in focus to a “more brand-centric approach” for the retailer. The 60-second commercial depicts a young boy making handcrafted holiday gifts for his neighbour, his teacher and his mother. Media Experts of Vancouver is handling the campaign’s Canadian media work.
“The most meaningful gift is one that comes with thought, effort, time and love, and as humans we know that giving trumps receiving every time,” said Jo Feeney, chief marketing officer at Michael Hill. “At Michael Hill, marking the special moments in peoples’ lives is at the heart of what we do. There is a deliberate synergy between the care and craft in this ad and that which goes into creating a special piece of jewellery.”
