Ikea readies holiday campaign

Ikea Canada will begun a holiday season campaign on Nov. 8. Called “Assemble Together,” the campaign encourages families to assemble furniture together over the holiday season according to their personal tastes. It includes a television commercial that depicts a family putting together various Ikea products and holiday decorations. This will be accompanied by digital, out-of home and social media advertising that will run until Dec. 19.
“This year we wanted to talk to Canadians a little differently, still tell a story that reflects our deep understanding of life at home, yet also highlight that the way we celebrate the holidays has evolved and Canadians are putting their own spin on holiday traditions to reimagine those celebrations,” said Johanna Andrén, head of marketing at Ikea Canada. “With the bright, lively energy and light that this spot brings, we’re celebrating the essence of the season, gathering with family and friends, enjoying good food, music and togetherness at a time when we all treasure it most.”
