Office supply retail chain Staples Canada has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Toronto Raptors basketball team. During the multi-year agreement, Staples will be the official “working and learning company” of the team. It will begin with a series of back-to-school promotions, including a virtual event with Raptors player Chris Boucher and a national contest. Staples will also have a brand presence at Raptors home games, and will conduct a speaker series featuring team management and players. A line of Raptors merchandise will also be sold at participating Staples stores nationally and online.
“As the ‘Working and Learning Company,’ we're thrilled to partner with an organization that shares our values of high-performance and giving back to the community,” said David Boone, CEO of Staples Canada. “We look forward to working with the Raptors to help inspire and empower Canadians through thoughtful programming and experiences.”
