Montreal-based bicycle sharing service Bixi has begun a new advertising campaign. According to the company, this is the first time it has conducted a television campaign. The initiative was developed by Qolab and is intended to raise awareness of the service’s electric bicycles. The creative compares the sensation of riding one of these bicycles to being a superhero with super speed. The campaign also includes online advertising and social media content, as well as out-of-home executions on Bixi bicycle racks. Qolab is a division of Quebecor.
“For years, Bixi has been a world leader in micro-mobility, a stature that’s been reinforced with the addition of electric bicycles,” said Pierre-Luc Marier, director of integrated marketing and sales at Bixi Montreal. “Collectively, we can all be proud of this mode of transportation developed in Quebec, which is now charged with our electric power to help boost our local economy, offer a genuinely sustainable transportation option and give users the impression that they’re pedalling like superheroes. I’m delighted to promote our electric Bixi bicycles with Qolab, a local company that’s bursting with creativity.”
