Explore Waterloo Region begins Camp In promotion

Tourism organization Explore Waterloo Region has begun a promotion called “Camp In” to encourage consumers to stay in the Ontario region’s hotels this summer. The campaign highlights the ways in which a hotel is more comfortable than camping, such as full-sized beds, wireless Internet access and lack of poison ivy or insect bites. The promotion includes a new WR Playcation Pass, which provides information about the region’s food, drink and entertainment options via a mobile device. The free pass can be downloaded from the Explore Waterloo Region website at <https://www.explorewaterloo.ca>.
“With most campsites fully booked across the province, ‘Camp In’ is a fun campaign that offers visitors an alternative camping experience,” said Minto Schneider, CEO of Explore Waterloo Region. “We know people are eager to travel this summer, and ‘Camp In’ shines a spotlight on our local hotels. With so many different room types to choose from and great amenities available, ‘Camp In’ is the perfect opportunity to travel regionally and support local businesses.”
