NABS restructures
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto-based National Advertising Benevolent Society has begun what it describes as an organizational restructuring intended to reduce operating costs. According to the charitable organization, the changes are a response to increased demand for its services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this restructuring, the position of executive director has been eliminated. Jay Bertram, who held that position, will depart the organization. In addition, chair of the board of directors Denise Rossetto will not seek another term in that position. Directors Tom Shipman and Rosetta Heckhausen have been elected interim co-chairs.
“This was a very difficult change to make,” said Shipman, “During his four-year tenure, Jay has shown a great passion for NABS. The board would like to thank him for his service and commitment to our community. We wish him continued success.”
