Campbell conducts pop art promotion

Soup company Campbell Canada has begun a promotion in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation intended to “inspire Canadians to brighten their day with pop art.” The national promotion involves limited edition Campbell soup cans with labels inspired by Warhol’s art. The four labels are available on cans of Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup and Tomato flavours.

The promotion will also includes several Canadian artists and content creators, who will create their own pop art-inspired content and post it on their social media pages. A digital art gallery from by Refinery29 will also host a selection of these works.

“We are very excited about collaborating with The Andy Warhol Foundation on this pop art initiative and celebrating the enduring and inspiring relationship Andy Warhol had with Campbell's soup,” said Mieka Burns, vice-president of marketing at Campbell Canada. “These special edition soup cans serve to remind us that there is joy, warmth and light that can be found in simple things around us. We look forward to bringing this concept to life through our campaign by sharing examples of real life pop art inspired by the cans. There are always new and creative ways we can brighten up our days.”
