NABS launches new online mental health service

NABS Canada of Toronto has launched a free, anonymous online mental health service in collaboration with UK-based Togetherall. The new service will function as an extension to the organization’s existing mental health and wellbeing programs. Togetherall is moderated by registered practitioners who will facilitate the process of “peers helping peers” in an online environment. A French-language version of the service will launch later in the year.

“Togetherall provides an anonymous, open and creative space for people to share and gain support from their community of peers, who are experiencing similar worries, doubts, fears and questions,” said Jay Bertram, executive director at NABS. “I want our community to know that they are not alone in their struggle and we want to promote spaces that encourage a willingness to seek and accept support from each other. Togetherall is moderated by licensed mental health practitioners 24/7, so we know that anyone in real crisis will be contacted individually and assessed for safety concerns.”
