Enercare breaks new campaign

Heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical services provider Enercare has begun a new campaign promoting its protection plans for homeowners. The plans provide unlimited service calls and same day repairs for various home issues for a monthly fee. Developed by Giants & Gentlemen of Toronto, the campaign consists of videos in which people hold conversations with inanimate objects that are about to break at inconvenient times, such as a furnace in the middle of a cold night and a pipe running over a record collection. The promotion also includes out-of-home and digital advertising.
“The worst case scenarios in these spots are exaggerated for comedic effect, but the more specific and exaggerated they became during the creative process, the more relatable and honest they became as well,” said Natalie Armata, chief creative officer at Giants & Gentlemen.
