Boston Pizza readies Valentine's Day promotion

Mississauga-based restaurant chain Boston Pizza International has resumed its annual Valentine’s Day fundraising promotion. On Feb. 13 and 14, the chain will be selling heart-shaped pizzas to raise funds for local charities selected by each restaurant. Consumers can also add a two-dollar donation or a Chocolate Explosion Dessert to their order to provide additional support. This will be the first year the heart-shaped pizzas will be sold on two days.
“We know things will be different for Canadians this Valentine’s Day, so we've made it easy for our guests to enjoy a heart-shaped pizza at home, while helping our amazing franchisees give back to their communities,” said Peter Blackwell, senior vice-president of marketing and communications at Boston Pizza. “As a proudly Canadian company with all of our locations being locally-owned and operated, it's amazing to see the impact our franchisees are having on their communities. Our Valentine's Day fundraising drive is just the latest example of our brand's long-standing commitment to giving back.”
