MS Society rebrands Read-a-Thon
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto-based MS Society of Canada has begun a rebranding effort for its annual “MS Read-a-Thon” promotion. The 40-year-old initiative is intended to raise funds for research into multiple sclerosis and support for Canadians with the disease. It encourages children to read as much as they can during the month of February. The 2021 edition of the promotion will make use of a new visual style intended to be more modern. It will also focus more on digital elements via a website at <https://www.msreadathon.ca>.
“While we all appreciate a classic, we also know that children today want a modern approach,” said Becky Mitts, senior director of community fundraising at the society. “So, to make MS Read-a-Thon more fun than ever before, we’ve built an exciting, interactive website where kids can track the books they read and customize cool avatars, all while supporting their community and people living with MS.”
