BBTV debuts new analytics service

BBTV, a Vancouver-based media and technology company, has launched a new service intended to provide audience analytics to online content creators. The service provides performance information about views, engagement, retention and revenue for video content, with a focus on comparative data between different videos. It will also make recommendations for future content, such as optimal lengths, title formats or calls to action. According to the company, it is aimed at content creators of any size, from individuals to media companies.

“We perform extensive user testing, interviews and surveys with content creators to identify their needs and translate that into the products we develop,” said Mehrdad Fatourechi, vice-president of engineering at BBTV. “Our content creators have made it clear to us that understanding often complex platform analytics is one of the biggest challenges they face. The most valuable resource for a content creator is having more time to make great content. Whether we're saving them time during content optimization, ensuring their content is brand safe, or helping them steer their content strategy, we set a high bar for ourselves in driving their success and ultimately, our own.”
