Toronto Star readies new Together section

The Toronto Star newspaper will add a new section called Together on Dec. 20. Acccording to the publication, the Sunday section will focus on the Greater Toronto Area and the stories of people “who have helped make the city and region a great place to live, work, learn and play.” The print and online content is intended to provide readers with content that inspires and celebrates. The first editions will feature seasonal themes, take-out spotlights, Sunday walk suggestions, profiles, city quizzes and other material. The section will be edited by Laura deCarufel, who is also editor of Toronto Star fashion publication The Kit.
“Brands that are looking to align their synergistic, elevated and thoughtful ad creative and brand messages are going to have a fantastic audience with the Star’s Sunday readers,” said deCarufel. “It’s joyful, inclusive, uplifting, unexpected, thoughtful and elegant, both aspirational and approachable with a sense of discovery and curiosity.”
