Ritz begins holiday season campaign

Snack food company Mondelez Canada has begun a holiday season campaign for its Ritz cracker brand called “Where There’s Love, There’s Family.” It consists of a television commercial and social media content highlighting “the beauty and importance of chosen families.” The TV ad, called “The Centre,” depicts a young girl sharing a cracker with a man sitting at the same table at a community centre for those in need.
“Our campaign asks Canadians to rethink what it means to be family this holiday season, because family is more than to whom you’re related,” said Jaclyn Campbell, associate director of crackers at Mondelez Canada. “We know that celebrations this year will look very different for many families, and Ritz wants to inspire Canadians to make a connection with those who may be feeling isolated and alone.”
To coincide with the campaign, the company will donate $100,000 in financial aid and in-kind support to a number of Canadian food banks, including Food Banks Canada, Moisson Montréal, the Calgary Food Bank and the Daily Bread Food Bank.
