
Sault Ste. Marie retains Doug&Partners

The Ontario City of Sault Ste. Marie has hired Doug&Partners of Toronto to develop a tourism marketing strategy. The assignment includes market research, public relations strategy, media strategy, marketing strategy and creative development. The campaign is intended to highlight the advantages of the city as a travel destination, with a focus on outdoor activities.
“The Sault recently implemented a new visual identity and brand as part of the larger community vision to encourage people to visit, live and do business in the area,” said agency CEO Doug Robinson. “This is an exceptional foundation for a broader destination strategy, and with the advent of COVID we are keenly aware of consumer insights that flag the reality of a ‘caged’ wanderlust that has evolved out of months of lockdown.”
