Tim Hortons begins Tims Coffee Commitment campaign

Tim Hortons has begun a promotion called “Tims Coffee Commitment” during which it will give away approximately $8 million in free coffee and other hot beverages. Consumers who purchase any sized hot beverage will have a random chance to get their drink for free. To participate, consumers must can scan the Tim Hortons mobile application or Tims Rewards loyalty card at the register.
The promotion is being supported with a television commercial depicting real stories of customers goings to great lengths to buy Tim Hortons products, such as riding a dog sled, an ice resurfacing machine, or by skating down an icy street. The company is also encouraging consumers to submit their own stories via social media.
“As Canada's coffee leader, we work tirelessly to deliver the freshness and flavour that Canadians love and have come to expect from us,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons. “We've been brewing coffee since 1964 and appreciate the incredible commitment Canadians have shown to us. We're celebrating that loyalty to Tim Hortons by giving guests the opportunity to win a free coffee or hot beverage, on us.”
