Dial begins handwashing campaign

Soap brand Dial has begun a promotion to coincide with Global Handwashing Day on Oct. 15. The promotion encourages consumers to make washing their hands “the official step one of every activity,” such as cooking, cleaning or exercising. It includes digital advertising and social media content, accompanied by influencer activities and media relations.
“Washing your hands should always be ‘step one’ before engaging in any activity, whether you’re cooking, starting your morning beauty regimen or your daily workout routine,” said Maya Atallah, senior brand manager at Henkel Canada. “But, while most people understand they should be washing their hands first before engaging in any activity, many Canadians still do not take this all-important first step.”
