Kruger Products begins Big Assist program
By Adnews Staff
Tissue company Kruger Products has begun a national fundraising promotion called “Kruger Big Assist” in support of minor hockey in Canada. The program is intended to provide $100,000 in funding to help minor hockey associations pay the registration frees for families with players in need of financial assistance. Consumers can nominate their local hockey association online at <http://www.bigassist.ca> until January 31, 2021. A panel of judges will select 10 winners, which will be announced next year. In addition, as part of its sponsorship of the National Hockey League, the company will make a further donation for each assist that takes place during the league’s 2020-21 regular season.
“Hockey simply wouldn’t be hockey, without assists,” said Susan Irving, chief marketing officer at Kruger Products. “They’re the greatest part of the game. Whether it’s a pass on the ice, help tying skates in the locker room, or carpooling to practice, assists bring our teams, community and country closer together. They make hockey Canada’s national game, and it’s why we’re committed to assisting minor hockey.”
