LG Electronics of Seoul, South Korea, has retained the LG-One Group of WPP as its global communications agency for the fourth time. The firm won the assignment in a multi-agency competitive review. WPP formed LG-One in 2009 specifically to service the LG account. The assignment includes global corporate communications, as well as support for consumer electronics, home appliances, mobile communications and business-to-business products. LG-One will service the account in collaboration with public relations agencies Hill&Knowlton Strategies and Ogilvy PR.
“LG offices across the globe felt that it was more important than ever during these challenging times to work alongside a strategic and stable team that knows our brand inside out,” said Ken Hong, head of global corporate communications at LG Electronics. “Having worked with the H&K and Ogilvy LG-One team for 11 years, our network trusted LG-One implicitly to deliver work of the highest quality.”
