Clearly conducts augmented reality campaign

Vancouver-based online eyewear retailer Clearly.ca recently conducted a mobile campaign intended to increase sales during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign, developed by Native Touch of Toronto, made use of augmented reality technology to allow consumers to virtually try on various frames using the camera on their virtual device and the Clearly mobile application.
“There’s been interest in augmented reality in advertising before, but retail restrictions accelerated its adoption because it fills the try-before-you-buy vacuum,” said Saad Uddin, CEO of Native Touch. “The appetite for AR advertising innovation is surging as we move into the most critical retail period. Online research is now, more than ever, a key part of shopping, and augmented reality can make the difference between browsing and buying.”
