SkipTheDishes begins NHL playoffs promotion

Food delivery service SkipTheDishes has begun a hockey-themed promotion. The company has formed partnerships with the Canadian NHL teams in the league’s playoffs. Through these agreements, the firm will offer the delivery of in-arena food to consumers in Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary. In addition, fast food chain Pizza Pizza has developed a specialty menu that includes branded team items which will be available in all cities.
The promotion is being supported with a campaign of 15-second videos for each city, as well as in-venue exposure and a segment on Sportsnet called “Who’s Hungry” that will highlight “the game’s hungriest player.” The company will also spend $2.9 million in broadcast and digital advertising to feature their new branding and logo. This will include the company’s previous commercials featuring actor Jon Hamm.
